Traveling Man

It occurred to me that it is sometime since I gave you an update.

We have been here in our, relatively, new home in Piedmont Italy for a number of weeks now. Our local friends have welcomed us wholeheartedly especially as I speak Italian. As I approach 70 next year we thought it would be good to spend more time in Europe, apart from the UK.

Temperatures here, LL, have been in the range 28-32C since we arrived which is quite lovely to wake up to every morning. We have mountains around us here, another bonus and only about 45 minutes drive to Switzerland. I've bought a Porsche Panamera for us to 'run around' in and to some extent 'keep up' with our Italian friends. Not quite the life you are leading is it...

Having said all that we are off to France and later Spain in the coming weeks.

A few shots of the heat for you. The mountain ones were taken around 9 pm one evening.

We are located on the hillside

That guy is still around isn't he and looking pretty fit.

Since writing the above and inserting the Italian photos you see there, we have moved on and are now in Skyros, which is gorgeous. You will recall we have a place here, I'm sure LL. Something of a bolt hole away from the crowds and the glitterati. Sea is a gorgeous blue as I write this, the buildings an almost startling white and the weather, perfect (perfick). See, I remember all the details very well.

Later in the year we are off to India and Sri Lanka then our usual month or so in Australia in November/December. Judging by you posts it seems you are off to the same old places when you are not both gorging yourselves on food at the weekends. You never show the whole of you in photos these days. I know why. A little bird in your neighborhood told me😉.

I bet you realize now what a bad decision or two, or more, that you made. You had someone who was loving, in love, attentive, generous...and wealthy and you decided otherwise, even though you regretted that decision afterward. You never did explain why 'it wouldn't be fair to him to leave and return', when you had done exactly the opposite to me. No accounting for the convuluted way you think is there.

Here's a few photos of our surroundings to keep you 'in the picture....':

Ciao...LL
