For LL
I have put the above quote in this bog because it is very true of both of us LL.
*******
Decisions, they take us to places we never think we are going the end up. They also determine our lives, our life style and our emotional happiness.
You made a decision, or two, back in 2004 and 2005 - the latter in particular.
That decision changed both our lives LL. For me, it led eventually to here, in the USA For you, it kept you where you felt 'comfortable' and in the same rut you have occupied all your life. Resident in a small town you have never left, apart from vacations to Spain and weekend trips to the north.
Without your decision and your actions during that period I would never have met my wife. It was one of those things. Being in the right place by chance. She nearly didn't go to that presentation at Cambridge University and I too nearly didn't go. But we did and we met, and the rest is 10+ years of history and happiness.
You decided, albeit you later said you had made the wrong decision, to settle for the guy you met when playing around behind my back. Where has that led you? A mundane life in a backwater of England, not really secure and most certainly not wealthy. I guess you are buddies, but I doubt he is in love with you...but someone still is.
I'm attaching a few photos of life after you left and after I met Ash. They serve as a reminder of the life you might once have enjoyed. Ten/eleven wasted years for you, sadly. At sixty three what have you got to look forward too? Certainly not the life style I enjoy.

Property plane and boats are the same.
So there you are. Apart from the Greek flag I haven't inserted any travel shots because you know I have been to so many places both before and after you.
Returning finally, to the original theme of decisions, this is where your decision led me. It was your decision, not mine. I am a man of my word and I wasn't going anywhere at all.
You did
open up almost endless possibilities, after you and before Ash, (excuse the poor pun in italics). Here I am talking of the many women I had the pleasure to enjoy and the pleasure they got in return. That was a real bonus you bestowed on me and I thank you for it.
You on the other hand have not progressed at all and that is where your decision took you. It might have been entirely different, but you know that....now
