For LL in the UK
It's sometime since I provided an update LL, so I though now might be appropriate as we are relaxing by the pool this morning.
We? My companion is female, forty and fit ... very 'fit', if you follow my meaning. I flew her out from England a few days ago to a place in Umbria that I own. Then I picked her up from Perugia and we have spent some time there. Right now I am just outside Florence by the pool, but we have also been enjoying the City, which I have visited quite a few times in the past. I have had a love affair with Italy as long as I remember, which is why I learnt the language.
Life continues to be good to me despite my having lost Ash. No more marriages in sight. I am just going with the flow and enjoying the company of the many women friends I have around the globe.
Next thing is that Trish will return home courtesy of my 'private airline' and I am going to my apartment in Venice for the weekend. I may stay a little longer, it all depends on my Italian friend there and what she wants to do.
Your life continues on its unexciting path, I see. The same old eating places, the same vacation destinations and too much food and booze, judging by yours and his sizes. What is it in the UK that predisposes people to put on so much weight. In my home country there's the same problem, but not among my friends.
A brief interlude of smoking surprised me too, given how you once felt about it. You once had a fair bit going for you, but not anymore. Chubby facial features are the very least of your bodily features. I hate to think what you look like now as opposed to how you looked when I knew you. At least you and he match each other!
Come September I will probably go to Skyros and spend some time on my boat there. At present it is being moved from the south of France down to Naples, Italy. I will be in that area later next month. Remember your vacation with me in Sorrento? The one you said was 'the best holiday ever' - to quote your exact words. It is still great in that area, and I've had some wonderful times there since you and I went in 2003.
Prior to this sojourn in Italy, I was at the ranch and Nantucket then spent some time on the west coast in California - San Diego, LA and San Francisco. Come the Fall I reckon I will be back down in Florida. My plans can change at a moment's notice as I have the option given my plane and wealth.
I would love to tell you why I have at least two identities and why, but I can't. There's an awful lot you didn't know about me. Being 'ordinary looking' and leading what appeared to be an 'ordinary' life was all part of it and strangely, I was following in my mother's footsteps as well as my father's in that respect. There's a mystery for you that you will never unravel.
I leave you to the rut you are in ad the boring life you lead. It once could have been very different, but you surrendered to short term pleasures rather than seize the long term prize.
