For LL in the UK
A few days in Singapore preceded my arrival here, catching up with friends, including David C, and a little business. I love Singapore. It's a great stop off point in south east Asia. Down at Clarke Quay eating or taking a trip up to Orchard Street with a lady for a spot of shopping.
Since arriving here, I haven't been out of my shorts (well apart from the obvious reasons). Early morning walks along the miles of sandy beaches, great coffee (flat whites of course). A walk to the top of Burleigh Head and quick trips into downtown Brisbane have all figured so far.
Going south into NSW in a day or so, to revisit a few places that were popular with Ash and I, LL. Incidentally, I'm not on my own here of course.
When I return to the States I will be going via Hawaii, and from there to San Diego. Not a bad life is it. How's yours? Same old stuff, I know...and I do really know. I still have friends and contacts in your neck of the woods. I know your life (and family) have changed, sadly getting smaller, whereas mine has expanded - family and life. Seems you haven't gotten out of the rut of short Spanish trips to the same places either. To paraphrase you - How boring is that!
Sixty five soon LL, I guess you have or will have a bus pass. No such thing where I live. The years that have intervened since 2005 have been filled with travel and life for me. You can't get time back, so I have made the most of those years and still am, living in luxury as I do. It was all yours for the sharing once. I still can't believe how foolish you were and for what you settled for.
Those messages of yours on social media - food and drink mainly - are pretty pathetic aren't they. I'm sure you would agree. Once you were all for living in the States and I bet you would still love to. Ironic isn't it, that it would be easy now I am a US citizen.
Poor decisions LL - your life has been riddled with them. You have lost more men than you have kept. What is the score? 5-1 maybe to use a soccer term. The 1 is dubious as well, if you knew what I do.
As you know I was in the UK recently. Catching up with a friend in Glasgow and someone in Cambridge, apart from a number of people in around London. I'll be back in a few months as I want to show someone else my Sandbanks home in Dorset. In the meantime here are some shots from my few days in Cambridge and around, and the walks we took:

Along the River Cam

Shot full of holes. The whole metaphor reminded me of you LL
