Two Letters

I find it intriguing and somewhat amusing that you seem to like posting all your eating habits and eateries in social media. But, I ask myself, for whose benefit or attention? They rarely get any response, so I am guessing you are trying to impress (?) me. Now that would be difficult! :) Perhaps you have nothing more to talk about either.

There is never a 'conversation' evident, as a result of your postings, which further reinforces what I believe you are doing. You'll have to try a lot harder to make an impression with yours truly though.

As you will see we have a wicked sense of humor and love the irony of where we had lunch the other day in Glasgow, with George and his wife.  Someone recommended it......! Now who was that hmmmm.....

Some 10 years ago you ranted on about how 'wonderful' (?!) your man was, being a company director and journalist - the latter is at the best a misnomer and at worst a complete and utter joke. Since then I guess I have assailed you with my good fortune and ... my fortune. Mine is not so much a rant but more of a flaunt, whether it be wealth or my utterly beautiful wife. This is of course to remind you of what you missed out on through your foolishness. I am sure you are now resigned to your odd lifestyle split between the two locations.

We must have been different, as there's no way I could spend 10 years doing what you do and I doubt whether most people could, or more to the point ...would. You are well and truly 'trapped' in the rut you have accepted. Who was it that wanted an exciting life? Who was it that didn't want to be bored?

For the first time in 10 years I am handing over this blog to my wife who wants to write something:

Next year we will have been married 10 years. I am well aware of what my husband writes and does and, in the most part, I agree with it all. There are no secrets between us, just absolute trust.

I believe you know how we met as well - in Cambridge UK. He had little trust in women at that point due to his experiences with you. I too had been widowed at an unexpectedly early age and had had similar experiences to my husband. So we had more than just our deep love for each other in common. Yes, we are very much in love, that magic ingredient that so many women fail to find or capture, or lose due to foolishness.

You passed me a gem. He is a marvelous man. Loving, attentive, thoughtful, decisive and a great step father to my two sons Brad and Tom. He is funny, far from boring, as I think you once described him, and very successful - VERY. There is NEVER a dull moment in our lives, lady.

From what I am told, you were hung up on your social position and that very English thing - class. Having seen your photos and heard about you, I guess I can understand that. You were never in the same ball park as my husband.

I could say much more but you are a total irrelevance to our lives, although we do gain some amusement from your 'story'.

I'll end up by saying something pleasant, and that is a big thank you for a fantastic husband, lover and best friend.

Well, LL, I bet you never thought you'd hear from my wife. A stark contrast to the foul mouthed stuff I once heard from your man. As Ash says above, you were never really my 'type' were you, but eventually you found your own level.

We are just back from our mini trip of the South West. Although the weather was overcast part of the time, it was good to be back down there. You'll recall I lived in Devon for a while and we had a look around as much we could.

To serve your belief, or is that disbelief, 'thermometer', some photos follow. We also enjoyed some gourmet meals in Cornwall and Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, among other places, as evidenced by the photos. Caught up with two old friends as well.

Cornwall and Padstow

Didn't eat here but we did at the Rick Stein Seafood restaurant - you know me and seafood

Paul Ainsworth's was superb. The Scallop Cerviche...heavenly.

Enjoy Spain next month we'll be somewhere there too, including our villa in Marbella, before leaving for Italy.

As to business and wealth, that continues to grow to a point where I don't know how much we are worth now. That's a long way from what I recall you saying once>>>>>" will we have enough to live on".

Tomorrow we fly home, well a home, to New Hampshire and will see friends and family and our horses etc.I'll have a little flaunt here....in our Gulfstream jet.

Ciao baby
