Natural

For LL

Something different for a change LL. Some nature shots. Not all the work is on the subjects I tend to post in my blogs. Those particular blogs are to let you know that there was life, lots of it, beyond you.

These shots below are some that have been licensed for use by others (for a fee) and have appeared in exhibitions here in the States. Also for sale from a couple of galleries in London, one in Paris another in Milan etc., etc.

They have mostly been 'fine tuned' in my studio to maximise their potential.

I promise to get round to the Italian trips soon. Those years 2004-2007 were great in so many different ways. Even better since I re-married.

Once you could have had the world LL and travelled it in style with a guy who loved you. You really were a fool. Look what you exchanged it for!

Change

For LL

Another year tucked under our belts LL. Not sure how yours was but ours was superb. Now we are just rounding off Christmas before returning to Naples briefly before going to The Bahamas for a short break - it's  around the mid 80's F there, a tad warmer than where you are going, again and again. That would drive me crazy.

We have had a crowd of folks here in West Palm Springs for Christmas and are just winding down ,with some having left and the rest going today.

You are probably aware that we have had Ben, our Golden Retriever for several years now. Perhaps you don't know that he has a buddy - Prince. My dad had a dog of that name when I was a small boy. It was a Dalmatian. Prince is another retriever. You know what did occur to me though. their initials P and B. Pure coincidence, but amusing nevertheless.

I recently posted a photo of myself from a few weeks ago. Then I saw one of you just a few days ago. I have hardly changed - yes, older and the lines on my face a little deeper (Florida sun, perhaps?)
But, you...oh dear, oh dear. Consider this, I am six years older than both of you and in better shape than either of you. no wonder you can barely manage just a few miles walking, let alone run or swim any distance.

You've joined him in the obesity stakes. Your neck is something else and the rest of you? A sack of potatoes springs to mind. How the hell did you get like that! I guess it must be all that eating and drinking and lack of exercise. I recall when you had a reasonably attractive figure and kept in shape at the gym. Another lifetime I guess. I reckon you chose the wrong guy - in fact I know you did, and so do you, more to the point.

Life goes on. In fact my life went on very nicely even when you were part of it. The best thing you ever did for me was to 'play away'. It released me into a different realm, and boy was it great!

Imaginings

For LL

I am sure I would be right if I said that I bet you sometimes wonder where I am and what I am doing. I say that because by now you will have realized what you passed on...to your own detriment and to the detriment of your lifestyle.

If I apply the same thought to my own imagination, then I don't need one - an imagination that is. Your life is very much one of routine and repetition, and very predictable. Thank God I married a woman who has a sense of adventure and is adventurous. The thought of the same vacation destination each time would drive me mad.

Seems you don't have any real interests either, apart from food and drink - how boring is that.

You may wonder why I write as often as I do in these blogs. Quite easily explained, really.

I write novels very successfully, but occasionally I need to break off from a plot line and 'take a breather'. In those interim periods I tend to turn to something else, fairly often, here in Florida enjoying the sun etc, but also  turning to a little factual writing.

Hence these blogs. Another reason is to keep reminding you of a life you might once have enjoyed. A life you can only imagine. Of all the men you have been with, you let the best one slip through your fingers. Finally, because you should know that I had no trouble finding other women, who were all too ready to share time with me and share their 'favors'.

You may remember this guy too. Looking pretty fit still, isn't he. This was taken just two weeks ago in the rain forest location shown in the additional photos. Croc Dundee..perhaps.

An Update - December 2017

For LL

I think it is time for a brief update on my recent activities.

As you are probably aware, back in October we flew from New England to LA and spent a few days there before travelling to Oahu and our place in the north of the Island. From there a scheduled flight, leaving our Gulfstream in Hawaii, to Brisbane, Australia and our month long vacation. Now we are back in Florida in West Palm Beach, via San Francisco, for Christmas. We thought we would spend it here rather than in Naples, Fl. I guess you are spending yours in much colder climes.

During our stay in Oz we ventured into the bush renting a place, down in New South Wales from which to explore. It was fun, apart from mosquitoes, although I seemed to be immune from the critters. I'm the one who leads the exciting life, LL. The one you used to think would be boring. It has been anything but that. The past eleven years have been some of the most exciting and rewarding ones in my life.

Red bellied snakes (venomous) along with carpet pythons were around and we heard reports of an Eastern Brown Snake (very venomous) being spotted along a pathway. Probably not your scene LL, but it added a certain something to our ventures into the bush and rain-forest. Plenty of kangaroos and wallabies around in the paddock like areas. In fact I took take an early morning walks just to watch them and all the multi colored birds - Parakeets, Galahs, Cockatoos etc - while Ash was showering.

Rather than write loads I'll let some photos do the 'talking'. they are holiday snaps not my professional work. See below....

We also went scuba diving and here are some shots from that adventure - living life to the full:

I have one final point in this brief update LL, not that it is of particular interest to you of course. In the end we decided to keep or lovely home in San Diego rather than sell and purchase in Santa Barbara. It has turned out to be a wise decision, given the wild fires that have encircled that town. I always seem to land on my feet don't I😊
