Interesting Times

Well LL, we live interesting times as was once said. You have Brexit to contemplate and we have Trump, Sanders, Clinton and Cruz as presidential hopefuls.

I am not sure about you, but since 2005 or should I say 2004 in reality, I have lived an interesting life. In fact my whole life has been pretty damn interesting and full. The Navy and what went with that, the world of banking and a very happy marriage - sadly snatched from me prematurely through death.

After that I had a period in which I didn't know which way was up, but I found it again and climbed out of the 'hole'. After you I discovered that life could be fun again. Not only that I had more than enough wealth to really enjoy it. I guess during the period from 2004 until I remarried you could call me a real playboy...as evidenced by my blogs  This link will lead you to them.

I will refrain from any more for a few days. I have been traveling the State over the last week or so and need to do some 'work' and also continue with my book #14.

I guess the blogs don't make quite the reading you would like, especially as some fell during the period you thought you were deceiving me. Sorry, but the pleasure was all mine, literally. I'm not 'sorry' by the way, as you were doing exactly the same thing, even though up until I found out I had trusted you implicitly and had been true to you. My daughter warned me against you - she was right, wasn't she.

One thing that was amazing, was how easily I fell out of love with you once I knew about your infidelities. I had really fallen for you big time, as you were probably aware. But being cheated on concentrates the mind wonderfully...so love soon turns away in such a situation. I did just that and placed my affections and body elsewhere...until I met my second wife.

You are still working, as he is. I hear pensions are a real mess over there with new taxes and the removal of tax free lump sums. At 62 going on 63, you have maybe another 20 years ahead if the fates are kind. I'm that little bit older. You have spent the intervening 11 years eating, drinking and taking Spanish holidays. Just think what you could have been doing...with me!

My last 11, no make that nearly 13, years have been enormous fun and filled with pleasure. My wealth has allowed me to do many of the things I always wished to and I remain in good health. I don't need a thing and I'm very happy, again. Set against your mundane life, I wonder if you ever reflect on your decision back in 2005 and the doubts you expressed in 2006. I am sure you do.

You weren't quite sure in 2006 about money and whether I'd leave you high and dry. You could trust me, but you never had the guts to find out. Me, I don't think I could have trusted you again quite the way I first did, but I would have tried. You never tried, never tried to commit, never tried to say 'yes' and always thought life would be a bore. Well you were wrong.

Wrong in that and in your decision making whether it was me, C or M. You are wrong about your current man too. I am told he has stopped now, but until 18 months ago you weren't the only woman in his life.

I'll be over in Europe in Spring. In the meantime the weather is heating up nicely here in Florida after our coolest month, January. So bring it on...the good weather is back!
