Campania for LL

I promised more on Italy. After all you were the first I took there (not including my late wife).

I recall your words 'Sorrento was the best holiday ever'. Lot of water has flowed under the bridge since then.

 2010

 2013

The above are scenes and views of Sorrento of course - you were always one for proof, particularly after we parted, as you had/have a disbelief problem. Unfortunately for you everything was true and genuine, just as this is. Most of the above were taken this year but there are a couple of older ones there as well.

Those below show us sailing round the Amalfi Coast to Positano and Amalfi itself., meeting up with some friends on their boats (see below) and generally enjoying life.

 Sailing past Capri

Amalfi below, too

Ashore in Amalfi (he's popped up again)

Prosecco is not limited to just you LL, and it's even better in the Italian sun - Salute!

Still ashore and still relaxing.

Maybe FM could do with some of this. The author is still firing on all cylinders.

I'll leave you to figure out who owns these boats....

Older, but still fit, this guy you know pops up all over doesn't he.

I recall a similar photo being taken many moons ago by......you.

So there's some of your disbelief blown away and here's some more, regarding my literary skills and connections, from a buddy at the New York Times. See DM below.

Ciao...and as they say in Italy ....Avere gli occhi foderati di prosciutto - meaning, roughly, don't go around with your eyes shut. You missed so much by being so blinkered in your outlook. Now look where you are.

I see you're interested in seafarer issues. Question: may I send you a link shortly for a NY Times story on the topic once we publish?
Sure, I'd find that very interesting
Great. Thanks for replying. I will send you the stories as we publish them.
This is the second part of The Outlaw Ocean series: Thanks for taking a look, Peter
