Dreamers and Realists

When I was a little boy my mother used to say I was a 'dreamer'. Later, when I was around 10 to 12 years old, she said 'he's a thinker'.

She was right on both scores.

My father said I was an achiever - he was right, too.

So, here I am many years on having fulfilled their beliefs.

So LL, imagine what you once wanted to believe. That was I still living in 'little ole England' in what you termed a new build (not unlike your partner's, I guess) and merely pottering around. Taking that a step further, I would think that you believe that I am now retired and just gardening and watching daytime TV. Maybe haunting a coffee shop somewhere each day, where I sit and read my newspaper.

Sorry to disappoint you!

I'm none of those things, as I suspect you already know but can't bring yourself to believe.

Here's a few photos of places and memories that might once have been shared.....

On that note, I hope your life has been happier since 2004. You had a rough deal before that, in part. Whether you brought some of it on yourself, only you will know. The writer has his own opinion.

Talking of life - yours - it seems a very odd set up for what is now 8 years. I guess you have gotten used to it but it's no substitute for the kind of life most happy couples lead, yours truly included. Maybe you can't get out of it...I guess searching for a new partner at 60 nearly isn't a very good prospect, especially given the way you have let yourself revert to your old pre 2003 physical self.

I guess the photos above rather rub in the fact that life could have been a lot easier for you....once.

Here's a final thought...just watch and listen...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7f189Z0v0Y
